Enlarged lobulated uterus measures by 18 cm. Multiple fibroids were seen. Largest being 7 cm in the fundus. 12 0.2 in the mid body. 11.5cm in the right posterior uterine segment. Endometrium distorted and cannot be evaluated. Ovaries are not visualised
This is growths in the uterus common in women from 30 yrs of age. can occur below this age but rare.
These growth are called fibroids which bening tumours of uterine wall. they grow to large sizes and causes distoirtion of endometrial cavity , abnormal bleeding and even secondary infertility. the ovaries may not visualized if they are posterior to the uterus and the large sizes of the fibroids. if this is from ultra sound then MRI and/or pelvic scan may be the best tests. The treatment is mainly surgery
